the whole wide world for Jesus

I really like the book of Psalms. (Before I begin, one of my pet peeves is when I see, for example, Psalms 23. It isn’t Psalms 23, it’s Psalm 23. The book is the Psalms, and each chapter is a Psalm.)

Starting over – I really like the book of Psalms. There’s a lot of good reading in its 150 chapters. I’ve been studying Psalm 67.

I’ve seen this chapter entitled the “Missionary Song”. I agree. As Christians, we are called to live according to God’s will and plan for our lives, we are called to share His gift of salvation, we are called to get His message out there everywhere, we are called to praise Him and thank Him and then to thank Him and praise Him all over again and again.

Psalm 67 NAS

1 God be gracious to us and bless us,
And cause His face to shine upon us-- Selah.
2 That Your way may be known on the earth,
Your salvation among all nations.
3 Let the peoples praise You, O God;
Let all the peoples praise You.
4 Let the nations be glad and sing for joy;
For You will judge the peoples with uprightness
And guide the nations on the earth. Selah.
5 Let the peoples praise You, O God;
Let all the peoples praise You.
6 The earth has yielded its produce;
God, our God, blesses us.
7 God blesses us,
That all the ends of the earth may fear Him.
